The population of India is 100 crores.
But 19 crores are retired.
That leaves 81 crores do the work.
There are 25 crores in school, which leaves 56 crores to do the work.
Of this there are 22 crores employed by the Central Government, leaving 34 crores to do the work.
4 crores are in the Armed Forces, which leaves 30 crores to do the work.
Take away from above total the 20 crores people who work for State Governments (State Government employees officially do not work!)and that leaves 10 crores to do the work.
Total unemployed are 8 crores and that leaves 2 crores to do the work.
At any given time there are 1.2 crore people in hospitals, leaving 80 lakhs to do the work
Now, according to Indian Statistical Institute, there are 79,99,998 people in prisons throughout the country.
That leaves just 2 people to do the work.......You and me!!!And currently YOU are sitting at your computer reading this blog.So I am the only person in our country who is working! And that's why India is surviving!!!Now, please log out and do your job because as for a change, I want to take rest. And I don't want India to suffer because of that!

Productivity Gyan
Dead Tuesday
Feeling all to sleepy to really feel anything.... in this brain dead state tried to wake up by reading the thought (rather No Thought as its refered to) of the day on www.osho.com , here is what it said--
"And each person is such an infinite mystery, inexhaustible, unfathomable, that it is not possible that ever you can say that "I have known her," or, "I have known him." At the most you can say, "I have tried my best, but the mystery remains a mystery." In fact the more you know, the more mysterious the other becomes. Then love is a constant adventure. "
Thinking of adventure, that too adventure in love in the morning blues :-(
That was a real bad idea.... so what next, upon googling "thought of the day", was hit by a quotation -- Our life is what our thoughts make it. -- Marcus Aurelius
But when i come to think of it, as on 09:30am, Nov 29th 2005 i dont have any thoughts in my mind...
Next... frantically tried to motivate myself... and here is the result
If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost. That is where they should be. Now put the foundation under them. -- Henry David Thoreau
Again, to build castles in air one needs some serious contemplation (read sleep) how wish such a support system existed in our office ;-)
So, adventureless, thoughtless, without any motivation.... tried to search for some explaination, just in case if i drop dead in front of my manager... here are a couple of new ones that i found--
- "This is in exchange for the six hours last night when I dreamed about work!"
- ... and in Jesus' name. Amen
- "You don't discriminate against those with Latent Atrophy Zymosis Yeast syndrome, DO YOU?!?"
- I was testing my theory that studies the relationship between productivity and sleep. It'll need more testing...

Amrita
here is a tribute to women who had the strength and the courage to acknowledge all her emotions
http://www.littlemag.com/ghosts/amritapritam.html
http://www31.brinkster.com/induspak/AmritaP.htm
still remember last winter when i picked up "Rasidi Ticket", her auto-biography in which she talks of so many personal things... when i started reading it, only one thought kept crossing my mind, how can a women be so crazy as to expose her most personal detais to the world... a world that is so cold and uncaring... yet thats the torture that a thinking person goes through, being emotional and expressive at the sametime is not an easy thing.... when you have some much to say, when you need someone close to you to understand you and you find vast emptiness and nothing else... then you go through the pain of writing things so that probably someone someday will acknowledge your feelings.... in this life or beyond....
Who are you ???
Dont leave your trail
On wet sand
Because your scent
Lingers along with some memories
Dont leave your trail
On wet sand
Because each impression
leaves an imprint
Dont leave your trail
On wet sand
Because they wash along with them
all that you meant to me
Dont leave your trail
On wet sand
Because reminiscence is only
for those whom you forget
Dont leave your trail
On wet sand
Because memory is a trap
only you can set me free
Dont leave your trail
On wet sand
Because I may not follow
and staying away might be the hardest thing
Dont leave your trail
On wet sand
Because in every trail you make
I'll be treading softly next to you
still wondering what (rather who) prompted me to write this... was trying to doze off after a real long day... kept tossing on the bed, when the urge to write a couple of lines came... picked up my diary started to shape some words, which were being wispered softly by someone from a distance... i still remember the outline and a faded face which keeps haunting me on some lonesome nights when i have lost all contacts with myself... all i pray for is to find someone to help me in loosing all and finding myself....
reminds me of a famous couplet (one of my fav.)-
mohabbat mein nahi fark jine aaur marne ka
usi ko dekh kar jite hai jis kafir pe dum nikle

Wow... just banged into the website of this amazing band

Early morning blacks
well black is the only colour that comes up in the mind when one has to wake up at 4 a.m. :-(
black out...
mind too numb and body still in slumber....
No-Thought for the Day : When you have emptied all the content — thoughts, desires, memories, projections, hopes — when all is gone, for the first time you find yourself, because you are nothing but that pure space, that virgin space within you. Unburdened by anything, that contentless consciousness, that´s what you are! Seeing it, realizing it, one is free. One is freedom, one is joy, one is bliss.

Logical Progression
PINK FLOYD .............
what else ;o)
after a long-long time.... in the mood to absorb gyan......
picked up "The Monk Who SoldHis Ferrari" - Robin Sharma..... written in a typical yankee style. gyan-o-tainment, which clubs so many things together, well..... seven to be precise.
was reading the first gyan.... deals with a wonderful concept "positive thinking" however in a not so great way.... was reminded of "The Power of Positive Thinking"- Norman Vincent Peale
Change your thoughts and you change your world. All that and things like that..........

cheers... for what i am.... in the mean while.......
a few parting lines.... which is probably from where it all started for me.......
The station is ominous at midnight
Hope is a dead letter
No local trains now
Long since departed
No way of getting back
To where you started
soo long............
